Film Introduction

Without citizenship cards, Bong and Adi live in the old neighborhood of Fudu, which is inhabited by a mixture of foreign workers. They are not entitled to the usual national benefits, cannot apply for passports, and cannot even open a bank account. While the elder brother, Bong, who was born mute, is resigned to his fate and only wants a stable life, the younger brother, Adi, who is not willing to bow to fate and thus illegally sells fake documents, wants to make money and take his brother out of this repulsive place. The two men, who were already leading unequal lives, volunteer to help track down their original parents and birth certificates because of the kindness of social worker Jia En, but her good intentions lead to an accident, which also puts Ah Pong and Adi in deep water once again.
