Film Introduction
Against an idyllic and peaceful backdrop, master lantern maker Ah Chu ruthlessly controls the futures of his three adult children, Yao Zu, Yao Zong and Mei Zhen, in pursuit of his own desires and pride, without regard for their dreams and happiness. As the children grow up and begin to explore their own paths in life, they are prevented from realizing their dreams by the father who thinks he knows best. What can be done to bridge their differences and repair the irreconcilable matters of the heart?
