Film Introduction

The Year of Macau" is a series of nine short films by nine local filmmakers, featuring different backgrounds and characters from different eras and witnessing the changes in Macau over the past 20 years. The nine short films include: "Returning Home", "The Last Day", "Please Keep Your Mouth Shut", "The Last Screening", "Walking with You to the End of Time", "Cigarette", "A Moment of Gathering", "The Washing Machine", and "Xiaoxia". The nine directors are all native Macanese and hope to leave a record of the city with their films, showing the simple Macanese feelings in the commonplace affairs of a small town.
