Film Introduction

Nujiang on the China-Burma border, the young girl Hu Na family ancestral knife skills. Her father was therefore invited to work in the provincial capital and had to leave his daughter behind to make a living. Four years later, Huna falls off a cliff and kills herself, and Hu returns to his hometown to find the truth. He sees a video of his daughter being injured by Jihong before her death, and chases Jihong's trail to Burma, where he finds out from the butcher's wife, Tin Tin, where the young girls traded - the Purple Light Jade Shop. When Lao Hu meets the stranded Jihong, he hides his identity, draws a knife and rescues Jihong. The two of them travel home across the Nu River in a treacherous journey. As Lao Hu's identity is exposed, the secret between the girls also surfaces. The two men, who feel guilty about Hu Na, are wrapped together by the warm sun on the mountaintop. Old Hu decides to teach Ji Hong the knife skills that he has not taught his daughter. Going up the knife mountain is a centuries-old skill inherited from the Nujiang River, with the custom of "passing it on to men but not to women". Mastering the knife skills of Ji Hong, insisted on stepping barefoot on the 36-step knife ladder, she stood to the top of the knife, and finally saw a different kind of scenery!
