Directed by Francis Ford Coppola Written by John Milius, Francis Ford Coppola, Michael Hare, Joseph Conrad
Exhausted U.S. Army Captain Benjamin Willard, at the height of the Vietnam War, is sent on a treacherous and surreal mission deep into the jungle with the goal of eliminating the mutinous officer Walter Kurtz - a Green Beret officer who has completely lost his mind. Willard and a small group of soldiers travel up the river by boat, gradually approaching Kurtz's base. However, Willard gradually realizes that the closer he gets to his target, the more he sees himself in Kurtz. The mission is fraught with unpredictable dangers, but it is certain that even if the mission is successful, Willard will not be his old self.
