Film Introduction
Zhou Jin, an elderly woman living alone in the countryside, is suddenly diagnosed with a brain tumor, and her children, who work overseas, are forced to return to their hometown to take care of her. The eldest daughter, Su Nianzhen, who runs a study abroad training organization in Shanghai and is going through her second divorce, insists on giving her mother the best treatment; the youngest son, Su Nianqing, a wandering tour guide, supports his mother in letting go and accepting impermanence. In her final moments, Zhou Jin guides her children to face their parting, to find a place in their hearts, and to revisit their connection to their hometown.
