In 1993, under the floorboards of an old Shikumen house in Shanghai, which was about to be demolished, Xuan, an 18-year-old loafer, found a diary that had been hidden. On the title page of the diary is a photo of a girl, and the beautiful handwriting between the pages records a past event of the young girl, which deeply attracts Xuan. By chance, 36-year-old Arashi catches Xuan's attention and he realizes that Arashi is the owner of the diary.
