Crying Woman
Directed by Jeroen Bustamante Produced by Jeroen Bustamante, Gustav Mathieu Written by Jeroen Bustamante Lisandro Sanchez
The folklore of La Llorona, the "Weeping Woman", is prevalent in Latin America. The retired general Enrique, who committed genocide against the indigenous people of Guatemala, is now being criminally prosecuted for Alzheimer's disease and increasingly hallucinating the sound of a woman crying in the night with increasing frequency. Though acquitted under cover, an angry crowd surrounds his house, and with the arrival of a mysterious maid, the eerie curse of La Llorona is being fulfilled.
