Film Introduction

Shooting instructor Riley's husband, Kourosh, and mine worker Saeed's fiancée, Nasreen, are hospitalized in ICU after a car accident. Faced with sudden changes, Riley and Saeed are puzzled by the car accident, and they both wonder what kind of relationship they have with their other halves, who are lawyers and are law students. A sweet video left behind by Nasreen of her exchanges with Kurosh makes Riley and Saeed, who have never seen eye to eye with each other, start communicating with each other in private, and they want to find out what's going on behind the scenes as soon as possible. Saeed can't stand what Nasreen did to him and wants to team up with Riley for revenge; Riley wants Kurosh to wake up and explain himself as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the situation has changed and Kurosh is pronounced dead, while Nasreen miraculously wakes up and is discharged from the hospital. After sending Kurosh away, Riley finally chooses to forgive her husband and drowns in her own grief, while Said, back home, looks at the gradually recovering Nasreen, but still can't forgive her. He asks Nasreen, "If it were me, would you choose to forgive," to which Nasreen replies in the negative. An urban male-female emotional crisis reveals the modern side of Iran, which is different from the traditional one. However, in the glamorous Tehran, the seemingly simple and unsurprising secular side of Iran still reveals the shadow of religious morality and traditional values. Director ASGHAR NAEIMI's picture is no longer a heavy Iranian one, but a simplified one, using a common story that we can all relate to, bringing us closer to each other, where people's reactions to emotional loyalty and betrayal are not so different in different cultures.
