The story is about a donkey that has been raised for many years by an old man who has no more room to live because of the shantytown renovation plan, and he has no choice but to give the donkey away. However, after the donkey is taken away, Lao Wang feels more and more that he, like the donkey, has the fate of being abandoned by the times, and finally takes the donkey back home in spite of everyone's opposition.
