Vasil is an intelligent and charismatic Bulgarian immigrant who, despite being homeless, has made a name for himself at one of the fancy clubs in town with his amazing talent for chess and bridge. With the help of an Irish lady, he arrives at Alfredo's house for a temporary stay. What started out as a temporary arrangement for a few days soon extended to several months. Alfredo and Vasile had a huge difference: Alfredo had his own stubborn way of life, while Vasile led a life of debauchery, with a passion for chess being the only thing they had in common. Nevertheless, Vasile will eventually knock on the door of Alfredo's heart, because he can make a difference to all those who meet him.
