The Yellow River Alien

创作阐述

The story was partly inspired by a farcical social news story. It just happened to have some kind of match with my thinking, so I used it for grafting. Firstly, I want to show the unique charm of the Chinese county towns. Secondly, I want to take care of the survival status of some young people in the county towns. Loneliness, embarrassment, absurdity, but not boredom. Gou Feng, Yang Xiaoyong and Peng Lixing in the story all belong to those who are unwilling to return to the torrent of life, but do not know where to go. The fire in their hearts that refuses to be extinguished is both the hope of bravery and the root of loneliness. They all can't find their place in life; they are all aliens who have fallen in the county.

故事大纲

In the late winter and early spring of 2019, in an ordinary northern county on the Yellow River, young Gou Feng accidentally lost two fingers. Gou Feng is over thirty years old, married with children, runs a store repairing excavators, and loves to write poems in addition to repairing cars. Originally, he should have been living a life of seeing death at a glance, but the loss of his fingers caused ripples in the stagnant water of Gou Feng's life. No longer able to repair excavators, Gou Feng began to look for a new job, but eventually realized that he could do nothing. With the loss of his finger, Gou Feng seems to have lost his place in the world. At the same time, Gou Feng also suffers from the disappointment of his crush getting married, the joy of realizing that his son has the potential to be a poet, as well as the approach and distance of his friends with their own intentions. Gou Feng sleeps and wakes up again and again, confused between dreams and reality. On another disillusioned night, Gou Feng, writing poetry by the Yellow River, captures an alien, which becomes the highlight of his thirty years of mediocre life, but also leads him to a mysterious disappearance. ......
