The idea of creating small characters in a big time. Yin Yang Li is a small alley, and the protagonist Mei Yin Yuan is a small character. 故事大纲

In 1949, Meiyinyuan, a small radio anchor in a pavilion in the alley of Yinyangli, wants to take advantage of the ups and downs of the exchange rate of the yuan to make a fortune in speculation, and to take her lover Yao Myo to Hong Kong to turn over a new leaf. In the alley, Ah Xiang, a dancer, Zhou Ge Lao, a rice store owner, Lao Yao, a Kuomintang secret agent, and Li Shi Ying, a member of the Military Finance Office, are listening to Mei Yin Yuan's last broadcast, but they all accidentally get the news that Mei Yin Yuan has "10,000 silver dollars", which makes them all think differently about the money, and triggers a lot of ripples. Mei Yin Yuan was abetted to sing the praises of Renminbi and influence the market price and was mistaken as a "secret agent", but was cleared by the wise Military Control Council, and at the same time, the operation behind the "Securities Building" was smashed by following the clues. One thing leads to another, and the enemy agent mistakenly drops a box of fake RMBs into the alleyway, stirring up the Meiyin Garden and the neighborhood. In order to make up for his mistake, the secret agent Yao Lao tries to carry out his plan, but he makes a mistake and his message is mistakenly sent to Mei Yin Yuan as a "love letter" by Yao Myo. Yao's attack is a major setback for the PLA, but in the nick of time, the people in the alley fight back and save Meiyinyuan, who is in the front line. In the end, Mei Yinyuan decides to stay, and chooses to embrace the new era and new society together with the other residents of No. 17 Yinyangli.
