"Gathering Cotton

创作阐述

In 2020, I will have been associated with film as a profession for twenty years. So, I wanted to find a fictionalized story to put in the changes brought about by the human world and self-growth that I have more or less experienced over the years. Gathering Cotton was created on this premise. Standing in the present and writing about the present is the most difficult thing, and I am glad that I have captured the relationship between a woman and this country and this era in the wave of the times. Perhaps this story is only one in a billion, but for the creator, to be able to use her own specialty to say what China and Chinese people are going through at the moment is perhaps the greatest tribute to this project. Ordinary and profound.
