The Garden of Small Beasts

创作阐述

As a former student-athlete, I've always wanted to create a story about kids who fight for what they want. Athletics is brutal, there is only one champion, and in our culture it seems that only victory is worth celebrating; only perseverance is worth praising. Many of the children who struggle on this log bridge either give up halfway or return home in defeat. However, the youth they burned on the road of pursuing their dreams may be just as hot-blooded and wonderful. This movie will focus on two girls who are struggling in the grassroots gymnastics team, and tell the story of their growing up with each other's influence. I would like to take advantage of their restless youth to sing an anthem for the most ordinary athletes who strive for their ambitions in life.

故事大纲

Competition losses and insurmountable training bottlenecks so that the 15-year-old gymnastics girl One One is faced with a cruel choice - is this retired, or continue to chase the unattainable dream of gymnastics? At the time of confusion, the garden road gymnastics training camp became one one last chance, she must for their own future backwater battle. The original timid One One, by the same camp competitors - the rebellious girl Xiaofei lit the fighting spirit. The two girls become confidants in a secret rivalry. The free-spirited Xiaofei proposes a "defection" plan to One-One. One One out of righteousness, and Xiaofei synchronized on the "defection" trip. The two girls enjoy this "stolen" freedom, but also paid the price for it. ...... As winter turns to spring, One One and Xiaofei meet again at the national competition.
