An "event" is an essential element of a story. But is doing nothing an event? Is finding something to do in the midst of doing nothing an event? In the story, Xiao Zhao is a character without events. He wants something to happen, but nothing happens. Most of the time, the so-called "bigger is not too big" events in our creative work do not belong to life, and the absence of events may be the true form of life itself. Different from the main character and the main event such as the concept of creation, Xiao Zhao is not the main character, and there is no main event to favor him. What I prefer to use throughout the movie are Xiao Zhao's emotions and the four seasons of the Northwest's desolate Gobi.

故事大纲

Xiao Zhao, who wanted to be a policeman since he was a child, tried and failed again and again on his way to become a policeman. Xiao Zhao finally became a policeman - a railroad policeman.
