Director's/Screenwriter's Bio
Feng Yi: a native of Jinan, Shandong Province, graduated from the China Film Art Research Center (China Film Archive) in the direction of screenwriting, and was selected for the 2021 Golden Rooster Young Directors' Training Camp, the 2022 Wu Tianming Young Screenwriters' Workshop, and the 2023 Chinese Filmmakers Association New Literature and Artistic Groups Creative Writing Class. The sci-fi feature film project "A Wrinkle in Time" was selected for the Venture Capital Unit of Pingyao International Film Festival, HAF Hong Kong Asian Film Financing Conference, FIRST Genre Film Lab, and the Sci-fi Unit of Golden Rooster Film Venture Capital Conference; the fantasy short film "Nocturnal People's Park" was selected for the NEST Unit of San Sebastian International Film Festival, the Golden Rooster Cross-strait Youth Short Film Season, and the International Short Film Festival of ISFFC; and the horror short film "Catching Ghosts" was selected for the Pumpkin Fantasy Film Festival, the Frontier Fantastic Film Festival, and the International Film Association of China New Art Groups. The short horror film "Catching Ghosts" was selected for the Pumpkin Fantasy Film Festival and the Frontier Fringe International Art Festival, and was released on CathayPlay, a Chinese art film on-demand platform. In addition, the projects he has participated in as an editor include the film "Mom and Seven Days", the documentary "Home on the Plateau", and "Vernacular China", among others.
