When I was interning at a police station, my civilian police mentor said something that has stuck with me. "The police never know what is behind the door, and if the mission requires it, these are the doors they will surely open." This door epitomizes police work. The police can never predict what kind of danger they will face, but they must step forward. So I used the story "Into the Mountain" to explore what beliefs sustain police officers to push through that door.
故事大纲
The story takes place in the bitterly cold Tibetan area, where a group of transmigratory believers are stranded on a snowy mountain, and the Yunli Police Station urgently organizes a rescue operation. As the road is blocked, the police have no choice but to call in Liping, a poacher in custody, to lead the way. Although Li Qing is familiar with the dark and open paths in the mountains, he is also known for his cunning, and it is undoubtedly a big gamble to let him lead the way, but at this time the situation is so urgent that there is no time to do too much thinking. The difficulties encountered in entering the mountain were far beyond imagination, and Li Qing also took advantage of his knowledge of the snowy mountains to constantly make trouble for the police, taking the opportunity to escape. The police suffered heavy losses, and the believers waiting for their rescue did not survive the cold night. In desperation, the surviving police officer, Kuan-Nan, makes a desperate attempt to catch up with Li-Ching, only to find that he has given up on escaping in order to help a little girl about the same age as his own daughter. The wind and snow are bitterly cold, and this only surviving mountain-turning believer links the conscience of a criminal with the original heart of a policeman, and they will face the test of the snowy mountains together ......
