No. 23 is a semi-autobiographical story about growing up as a teenager with the author's own experiences, and is a reflection on my relationship with my mother's family, which was inspired by a news story in 2008, when a single mother with a steady income was arrested in the case of an erotic hotline. The author combined her feelings with the news event to develop the current story.

故事大纲

Han Ye's father disappeared in a fire at a textile factory years ago. Years later, Han Ye and his mother Wu Ji are still living in the shadow of his father's disappearance. Han Ye's natural color weakness can't hide his talent for drawing, and his mother's accidental pregnancy leads her into an emotional affair with her lover Chen Kai, making communication between mother and son increasingly difficult. Han Ye's father often appears in his dreams, and a girl named Bai Bing comes into his life. He realizes that Bai Bing seems to be carrying some kind of secret, and disappears into the Chun Guang Hair Salon every night. The lost Han Ye accidentally dialed the "emotion hotline", through the operator "No. 23" let him experience the man's pleasure for the first time, and even more surprising is that his vision seems to be able to get a short recovery after the pleasure. When the factory closes down, his mother is faced with life's choices, and eventually chooses a job at a "paging station", which is located in a hidden underground bomb shelter.
