Reunion

创作阐述

While the surface narrative of Reunion is about a joint burial, and how an elderly couple halfway across the world deals with their burial, the deeper theme is about how people face and deal with their traumatic past. In the face of history, the public tends to forget. This is a pragmatic strategy. The hero's obsession with joint burial is essentially a rebellion against forgetting. With Reunion, forgetting is no longer about erasing, but giving a new beginning.
