The story stems from my band life in Shenyang and how I felt under the epidemic. The movie depicts an absurd journey, an unconventional father-son relationship. Ding Mao, a musician whose life has come to a standstill in 2020, and Ding Jianguo, a laid-off worker in 2000, are the same person, the same garden of paths that diverge to join the rings. This is a soundscape movie. The movie will use a lot of non-realistic sound effects. Ambient sounds are treated like sampled music. Sound participates in the narrative and dominates the movie.

故事大纲

Electronic musician Ding Mao returns to a small northeastern town for a gig guided by a strange voice. The gig is unexpectedly canceled and Ding Mao's life comes to a standstill. During this time, Ding Mao learns of the death of his father, who has been missing for years. An American girl comes into Ding Mao's life and brings color. After an absurd journey roaming the Northeast, Ding Mao finds himself having to deal with his father's death. A dream pulls him back to his childhood with his father, and upon awakening from the dream, Ding Mao realizes that he and his father are fatalistically similar. Ding Mao finally finds the source of the voice, which points to his childhood, his father.
