Baseball Stadium on the Plateau

创作阐述

From the stone thrown by a young shepherd boy to the winning ball on the world stage, it took eight years to track and record the whole process, and the Tibetan boy who relied on throwing stones to shepherd his sheep broke through the layers of shackles and finally stood on the pitching mound of the 2023 Asian Games and threw the winning ball!

故事大纲

This is a sports documentary movie, which has been filmed since 2015 involving Qinghai, China, Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Taiwan, Seoul, South Korea, Los Angeles, USA, Arizona, USA, and Adelaide, Australia. Crossing regions, ethnicities and cultures, it records the baseball saga that is taking place on China's Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. A Tibetan shepherd boy opens the door of his life to a sport he has never heard of, defines his own pursuits and dreams, and becomes the strongest left-hander in China with extraordinary self-discipline and perseverance, only to be lost in the sudden changes of the world. Over the past 8 years, I have filmed him from the age of 13 to 20, documenting the many firsts in his life. In the process of growing up, he has faced countless specific dilemmas about language, living habits, injuries and illnesses; shocks from different cultures and values; and conflicts from his traditional Tibetan family. This is a fantastic and romantic story born from the collision and fusion of different countries, nationalities and cultures, a sample of an individual in the age of globalization.
