The movie tells the story of a teenage girl, Li Qi, who heals the mother-daughter rift with her mother during the summer vacation after the college entrance exam. Like a fishbone stuck in her throat, a hidden teenage heartache becomes an unspeakable discomfort for her. Along with the bitterness and pain of growing up, she begins to rethink her relationship with her mother and her relationship with the world.

故事大纲

Director's Introduction

XUYU ZHANG: Young director and screenwriter, graduated from Bournemouth University, majoring in film and television directing, and one of the top five directors of the 6th "Green Onion Project". His works have been selected for the 13th Beijing Independent Film Festival, the 2019 Brussels Independent Film Festival, the 2020 Hishorts Xiamen Short Film Week, the 3rd Mingfengtang International Youth Image Festival and other festivals and exhibitions, and he has won the Best Film Award of the 3rd Nowness Genius Program, the Best Screenplay Award of the 6th Chongqing Youth Film Festival, and the Best Screenplay Award of the 3rd Inner Mongolia Youth Film Festival. He was also nominated for the Best Screenwriter Award at the 6th Chongqing Youth Film Festival, and the Top Ten Short Films at the 3rd Inner Mongolia Youth Film Week.

Introducing the Producer

Fan Zhijie: young producer and director, graduated from Bournemouth University, majoring in film and television directing, worked in foreign-funded production companies, participated in many international and domestic documentaries, reality TV shows, publicity films and executive producers, selected for the 15th FIRST Youth Film Festival Production Training Camp. His work "The Bone" was selected for the main competition of the 5th 86358 Jiajiazhuang Film Week, and won the Best Film Award of the 3rd Nowness "Genius Program".
