The city of Chang'an is plagued by a series of bizarre deaths, including the death of the current emperor, all of which are related to a demonic cat. A Japanese monk, Kukai (Shota Someya), who has traveled across the ocean to break the Emperor's spell, shares Pak Lok Tin's interest and is determined to work together to find the truth.
