Film Introduction
Forced by life, the girl, Jessomina, is sold by her impoverished mother to the charlatan, Zangbano. However, Zambano's brutality and indifference cause her to try to escape several times, but without success. At a performance, she meets a circus performer nicknamed "Fool", under whose tutelage she learns to play a musical instrument and develops an attachment to him. However, when Zambano reappears, her hopes and short-lived happiness are ruthlessly shattered. The "Fool's" words further confuse her: for he suggests that Zambano may actually be in love with her. ......
