Film Introduction

This half-drama, half-documentary chronicles the struggle of the villagers of Covas do Barroso, a village in northern Portugal, against the London Mining Corporation's lithium mining on their land. By combining documentary and fictional elements, the film vividly illustrates the villagers' creative struggle to protect their homes and way of life. The film not only reveals the conflict between local and globalized forces, but also reflects the battle for resources in the context of climate change.
