Film Introduction

Emperor Qianlong sends Feng Gege down to Jiangnan to select an opera troupe to enter the capital. Wang Changsheng, the hopeful of Yangzhou's Chuntai troupe and a martial arts actor, is favored by Gege, but resolutely elopes in accordance with the agreement he made with his fiancée, Fang Chunrong. On the other hand, Yue Jiu, a famous actor who has made a name for himself in the capital, is driven out of the capital by the imperial court due to a frame-up designed by his peers, and is forced to flee south to Yangzhou. The two opera geniuses, who are not related to each other, meet each other and talk about opera. Fang Chunrong, who has seen everything in silence, eventually persuades her husband to return to Yangzhou, but she is not expecting her own family to come and take her away. When the rain falls, Jiang Chun, the proprietor of the Spring Stage Class, dies of exhaustion, and Changsheng returns to the Spring Stage Class, but unexpectedly the Qianlong Emperor changes his mind and invites all the opera performers to the capital for a pilgrimage, and Gege's promise of a chance to win the title and the food is gone, and Gege herself is hastily summoned back to the palace because of her subtle feelings for Changsheng. At the critical moment, Yue Jiu finances the rescue of Chuntai Ban, which finally gets what it wants and enters the capital smoothly, and Wang Changsheng and Yue Jiu jointly perform a big play for Qianlong, who comes to inspect the city. The Chuntai troupe and Wang Changsheng and the others have now achieved perfection and become famous in the history of the world.
