Film Introduction

With the movie "Shadow" as the background of creation, this film is a true record of the creative story of director Zhang Yimou and the workers behind the scenes. The film covers everything from photography, art, costumes, props, visual effects to housekeeping, cooks, martial arts, group acting, etc. By capturing and refining the characters and events, the film restores the dilemmas and breakthroughs encountered by everyone in making the movie, and demonstrates the process of the birth of a work from zero to one. Unlike previous behind-the-scenes documentaries, the film has more of a human touch and fireworks in addition to the exploration of movie creation. A crew looks at an industry, a group of people look at a river and lake, the documentary with a small view of the big, so that the audience can further understand the current situation of China's film industry, but also more appreciate the extraordinary craftsmanship of Chinese filmmakers.
