Film Introduction
On the outskirts of London live a Portuguese couple, Beira, Jota and their three children. As an immigrant family, they need to work very hard to make ends meet, but their deaf daughter gets into some trouble at school due to a misunderstanding, and British social services start to worry about their child's safety.
