The Cat in the Wall
Directed by Krasela Kazakova, Mina Mileva Written by Krasela Kazakova, Mina Mileva
Irina, a woman from Bulgaria, and her brother and son live in a block of budget apartments in Peckham, South East London. These new immigrants from Eastern Europe struggle to survive in the cracks of life on the one hand, and on the other hand, they face unfair treatment from their native welfare-eating lovebirds, and all the problems and contradictions come to a dramatic climax due to the accidental admission of a badger that escaped from someone else's house, as well as the high cost of renovating the apartment. Adapted from true events, the movie is a pseudo-documentary that expresses the confusion of Eastern European immigrants in the UK.
