Film Introduction
The movie tells the story of a 21-year-old girl named Selam, who runs around Africa's largest open-air market. Although her family is poor, her kindness and perseverance win her a better life in the end. A chance encounter with long-distance running led her to find solace in running and to change her own destiny and that of her family. Eventually her hard work paid off and she won her first race on the international stage.
