Princess Character
Directed by Marie Kreutzer Written by Marie Kreutzer
On Christmas Day 1877, Austria's beloved Princess Sissi celebrated her 40th birthday. Although she was the Empress of Austria and Hungary, she had no right to express herself, but only to remain beautiful and young. In order to fulfill these expectations, she was on a strict diet, worked out, had her hair done, and had her waistline measured daily. Suffocated by these rules, she began to break this image more and more often, as she longed for knowledge and life, rather than just being a beautiful vase.
