On Christmas Day 1877, Princess Sissi of Austria, admired by millions, celebrated her 40th birthday. Despite being the Empress of Austria and Hungary, she had no right to express herself, just to remain beautiful and young. In order to fulfill these expectations, she has been on a strict diet, working out, getting her hair beautifully done, and measuring her waistline daily. These rules suffocated her, and she began to break this image more and more frequently as she craved knowledge and life, rather than just being a beautiful vase.
